“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then feed just one.”
– Mother Teresa
This thought inspires us to take those first difficult steps, beyond our comfort zone, to strive for equality, material and intellectual prosperity to create an eternally blissful harmony.
Registered as NGO in 2016, Power of One seeks to help our society in achieving the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) mutually agreed upon by the member nations of the UN.
Mental health, education and promoting socio-economic equality are some areas we work on.
A Lancet study observes that one in every seven Indians suffers from a mental disease. And the nation witnesses about 300 suicide deaths every day. To solve this, we get in touch with expert mental health professionals and therapists to eliminate the taboo surrounding the subject and offer solutions to the needy.
Gender and economic equality are the ideals we work towards. But it all starts with simple steps of feeding the hungry and comforting the homeless. At Power of One, we make sure that no one sleeps hungry or faces discomfort with the change in seasons.
Our earth’s suffocating, and so is our existence. We believe that the only way to save our planet is by planting more and more trees, hence, we aim at planting trees as many trees as we can, in order to save our eco system.
